About Me



Ryan Fedasiuk is a first-year student attending American University in Washington, D.C. He is majoring in International Studies (BA) and considering a second major in Arabic Studies (BA) or Computer Science (BS). Ryan is a part of American University's Community-Based Research Scholars Program, through which he volunteers for the Central American Resource Center and conducts research for nonprofits operating in the Washington, D.C. area. Ryan also interns at the American University Center for Israel Studies.

In his free time, Ryan follows events related to international security, American foreign policy, healthcare policy, gun violence, and the Middle East and North Africa. He also coaches high school debate through 3P Speech. Ryan is also learning to code in Python, HTML, and CSS, and is interested in learning data management and visualization software.

Before attending American University, Ryan attended Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was an active participant in forensic speech and debate. He competed nationally in Congressional Debate and competed in the state of Arizona in Public Forum Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Impromptu Speaking for four years. Ryan was also involved in Model United Nations, Psychology Club, a number of service organizations, and was a Life Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
